Blake Lively Admits Googling Herself Sent Her Into A ‘Full Depression’

No more Googling for this girl!

Blake Lively has admitted that her adventures with the search engine did not end well.

Specifically, the actress spoke to Variety about going into depression after reading some not-so-nice things about herself online.

She said:

"I have [Googled myself] before and it’s just ended in full depression."

And added:

"So I think it’s a good rule of thumb not to Google yourself because the Internet is not nice."

Yeah, we’d say we agree on that! Especially if you’re a female star. The Internet can just be VICIOUS.

Nowadays, we doubt the 29-year-old bothers with search engines, though, as she’s got so much going on in her life.

She confessed that her family is both her and husband Ryan Reynolds‘ top priority, saying:

"[We’ve] both given up projects that we really love because we can’t keep our family together. People often think their career is something they have to chase and maintain, but for us, we said, ‘Let’s always chase and maintain our personal life.’"

She continued:

"This is a career that’s like the stock market: You’ve got to stay hot while you’re hot. But your family, that’s the real thing that gives you security and success and happiness."

The mother of two daughters also spoke of her children, James and Ines, obviously delighting in their personalities and how they’re growing up. She said:

"[James] is always doing something fun and exciting. She’s the most fun, funny human being I’ve ever been around in my life."

Blake further explained that she wants her kids to have as normal a life as possible, saying:

"Ryan had a nice, normal upbringing, and we want our kids to have the same normal life that we had. We don’t ever want to rob them of what we had, because we’d feel really selfish. I’d rather not have to deal with it at all, but we knew the lifestyle we were getting into, and while it’s hard … it’s another thing when it’s our child. She didn’t have the opportunity to make a decision about what she wants."

We’re sure together she and Ryan can give their kids the best childhood ever!
